This Siamese love affair of mine, which started in mid-2004, is into its 8th year. I’m no longer head over heels in love with this country, but it’s since toned down to a calm, steady relationship. I’m glad I was once idealistic enough to follow my dreams and aspirations, no matter how silly, impractical they were. Some decisions were really meant to be lived once—like my moving to Bangkok for love, work and pursue of whatsoever—for I doubt I’d have the courage to do it over again.
While I’m bidding goodbye to this place temporarily, it certainly doesn’t mean an end to the Thai adventures. We’re returning to some place familiar (okay, it’s relocation for mr;p), but we’ll definitely visit Bangkok more than once a year and we’re still eager to embark on new ventures in Tomyamland in future—time and finances permitting.
Lady luck has been rather generous with us lately, with me landing a job and renting out our apartment despite the short advertising time. Now I really hope the re-acclimatisation (for me) and transition (for mr;p) will be smooth. Whatever it is, I must remind myself to keep a positive, determined attitude toward the future.

Awww… a door closes and another opens! Keep us updated on your adventures in singa-land!
